All Work and No Play ???

Not at Top O' The Hill Farm !  We work hard - and expect the horses to apply themselves also.. but there is always time for play ! After all the rains we received, the brook looked like the perfect location for some recreation.

We saddled up Tall Trees Sassie and
OYY Beltane's Lady Jane for a refreshing 'swim' in the brook.   These two had a blast and their riders got just as wet as the horses as you will see.

Jane and me -- Jane is a super lesson horse and such a delightful mount ... I love riding her.

Start out in the more shallow parts. So cooling on such a hot day !

well -- you get the picture -- we all had

F-U-N !!

Just recently, Tall Trees Sassie has made her way to the sales list. She is an outstanding lesson horse -- taking on some challenging riders that many other horses would not be capable of handling. She is also a wonderful steady able bodied lesson horse and a fun forward mount for trail and/or road trips.  It's time for her to move on to owning her own person. She will so enjoy the change in lifestyle -- getting out on the trail with her rider more often.

What a stellar western and/or english mount she will make for either family or single owner.  Here is her page on the web site.

So -- while a good work ethic is important and I require it as an important genetic component in my horses ~  PLAYTIME is so very essential too !

Find time to enjoy your day ~ hopefully in the saddle

Sassy reminds us all to take time and smell the roses or splash in the water.
